Exquisite Hearts Wedding Favor!

Sunday, June 14th, 2009

Is there any more effective way to express your love than to get married with a ceremony in the same month as Valentine’s Day? That’s what I decided to do, have a ceremony and reception filled with one of the most adorned symbols of love throughout our ceremony and reception party. I started it off with the loveliest tiara that I ran across online. There were many wonderful decorations and supplies to choose from, such as the invitations I bought. The cards we used as wedding invitations had a pair of hearts on the front of them, both silver. The only thing I really had to do was write in the information, like the place and the date, and the rest was already filled out in beautiful calligraphy when we got them.
But that was only the beginning, after I mailed out the invitations I had to start planning the décor and ordering the supplies I would need. I selected a red velvet set of ribbons and bows that I would put on the end of and string between the church pews. The altar was beautifully decorated, with wonderful candle holders and candles, including our unity candle which was adorned with a heart made of red roses. We used red roses all over the wedding ceremony, like in my bouquet, where they were mixed with pink roses, and throughout the church. It may have been a touch extravagant, but I’ve always wanted to have doves released as we left the church building, so we did, and it I thought it was wonderful.
The whole ceremony was like that in a dream. Me with my handsome groom and all my friends and family around was the most important and special day of my life. I was so happy with all the fantastic hearts wedding decorations we had for the ceremony. It really added a touch of romance to an already romantic afternoon. I’ve heard that heart weddings were something special, but this was more than I had hoped for. Not only was the wedding ceremony fantastic, but so was our wedding reception. Everything there screamed of romance and love, right down to our heart favor gifts for our friends and family. Even our wedding cake was exquisite. It was truly a work of art with all the lovely flowers and the gorgeous cake topper. It was all like a dream come true.

The tables that our reception each had a floral arrangement of pink, red, and white roses with small hearts mixed in with them in the center of the table. On each of the reception tables were little two hearts wedding candles to set the romantic mood of the theme I had chosen, and at each setting was the nicest place card holder I could find. The wedding favors we got our guests should be a terrific souvenir from our wedding; they had handles in the shape of a heart attached to tiny silver bells. Our wedding cake was decorated with little hearts all around the bottom layer and little tiny pink and red roses trimmed each layer. There was a porcelain wedding cake topper, colored white, that fit in with our hearts wedding cake and the rest of our cake adornments beautifully.
Everything at our wedding and reception was the perfect picture of a true valentines day wedding with all the hearts and flowers imaginable. I’m just glad I had the internet to turn to, it made everything so much easier.
