Getting a graduation party invitation

Tuesday, August 4th, 2009

The first thing I did when I decided to give my girlfriend a bridal shower was to put together a list of everything I was going to need for thte shower. At the top of the list was getting a graduation party invitation. Now I’m one of those women that really doesn’t like shopping where I have to fight the crowds, or wait in line for price checks, so I decided to go online and see what I could come up with for the bridal shower. Boy, did I luck out in that department. The prices and selection were both better than I expected. The price I paid on some things were almost criminal. The shower invitations were very high quality with pearl edges and silver writing. They had all kinds of invitation cards, from general party invitations to specific ones, like birthday party invitations.
The place card holders they had were adorable, so I got those, along with other supplies. One of the things I found was a little bridal guest book for everyone to sign and for the bride, to be, to keep a record of every gift she received. One style of place card holders caught my fancy. Pink lilies adorned the place cards I picked out, and each guest received brightly-wrapped candies in a small plastic purse. When placed on the tables at the shower alongside the gifts and things, they looked cool No matter what the reason for the gathering, they have an appropriate favor box to go with it. The boxes I selected had floral designs, and I piled them neatly on a cake platter and set them on the table with all the presents. It was a good-looking way to set it up, and everyone there just came by and grabbed a gift. I picked out a few kinckknacks as awards for winning the bridal shower activities we were going to play, and the thank you presents were sets that had everything you’d need to give a manicure. Some of the other odds and ends I used for door prizes were adorable little bath soaps, make-up mirrors, and novelty keychains.
Party game suggestions abound on the Internet. There was a real funny one called ‘Take It Off ‘ where everyone puts a paper bag over their heads and then the hostess tells everyone to remove one article, and you’d be surprised how many ladies don’t think to remove the bag. This is really a hysterical game to play. There are other mirthful games that we did, like bridal bingo. Deciding to surf the web was an excellent thing to do since I saw all kinds of things I could use and a good portion of them were very affordable. The favors and invitations I bought were a bargain. The things I purchased were well made, and I spent a lot whole less than I thought I would have to, and had a whole lot more choices. This site I found also has wedding invitations and favors, so I made it a point to inform my friend who was getting married about it, since I was sure she would want to know about this place. So, maybe ordering her accessories and reception supplies from here will help her out in the planning and the finances. The bridal shower wouldn’t have been as good without it. The bridal shower was a sensation, and everyone there liked their shower favors, too. Now that the party is over, I’m filling out the guest thank you cards thanking them for attending. Which, by the way, I also ordered online. Next, I’m helping with my friends sons’ birthday party with the help of my favorite online store.

Splendid Mikasa Weddings!

Tuesday, August 4th, 2009

I went to a wedding last week where they had mikasa crystal accessories on all of the reception tables. On every table were lovely mikasa weddings and mikasa crystal glasses. What excellent taste the bride has in decorating a wedding and reception tables. The tables just shined with lustre and elegance with all the different mikasa accessories.
They had lovely little place card holders that were the cutest silver doves, with bride and groom placecards on their tails. The elegance of her reception tables were enhanced by the lovely centerpieces she had chosen. For her centerpieces she had lovely pillar candles with a floral garnish surrounding them. They also chose very impressive thank you gifts for all of the guests. Mikasa crystal wedding favors were given to each and every one of us. The favors boxes with the little thank you hang tags was almost as gorgeous as the mikasa crystal favors that were inside.
Five layers of chocolate heaven with chocolate flavored cream cheese on each and every layer was the choice of wedding cakes they had. She topped the wedding cake with a very exceptional wedding cake topper. She found a place online where she got most of her accessories and supplies that make customized cake toppers. The bride and groom on the cake topper look just like the wedding couple and they did this with only a couple head shot photos of the bride to be and her fiance. It was absolutely perfect. I had to find out where she ordered her wedding accessories from, the cake topper would be great for my mom and dads’ renewal wedding for their anniversary.
I think one of the funniest part of this whole thing was when it was time for the garter toss. Watching the looks on the guys faces as the groom removed the garter from the brides leg, was priceless. As the garter flew through the air, they were all falling into each other as they tried desperately to grab it up. What was really funny was that the winner of the garter toss was talked into participating by the other guys and he was a widower in his 70’s. As the old man walked off with the garter in hand he was smiling from ear to ear.
For the bridal toast we all had crystal champagne flutes, that we were also given to take home, with the names of the bride and groom, and date of the wedding printed on them. After the best man said his speech and we toasted the bride and groom, it was time for their first dance together as man and wife. They looked so fantastic up there dancing together. The floor quickly filled up with couples right after the wedding couple finished their first dance. My poor feet suffered the consequences of my all night dancing.
Then it was time for the happy couple to leave the reception and begin their honeymoon, so everyone was yelling good bye and good luck. Hawaii was the honeymoon destination, from what I was told by one of the guests. I’m sure their honeymoon will be just as wonderful as their wedding day was. We all stay for quite a while after the bride and groom left and partied ourselves into exhaustion.
It was only a couple of weeks later that I got my thank you card from the happy couple thanking me for sharing their wedding day with them and for the wedding gift I bought for them. She must have sent out her thank you cards as soon as she got back from her honeymoon. By the way, I did find out how she could afford a mikasa wedding and that fantastic cake topper. I’m ordering what I need for my parents anniversary wedding party today.

Glorious Jewelry Box

Monday, August 3rd, 2009

Today, we have watch jewelry boxes, earring jewelry boxes, other types of boxes for jewelry, but years ago, pretty much everything was put into standard jewelry boxes. There are a lot of very decorative ideas for the many different types of boxes. My daughter bought a few for her and her bridesmaids and the party guests. That was just the beginning of what I discovered while surfing the web for gift ideas. All kinds of ideas are on there for weddings in a specific theme, or more standard, old-fashioned types of weddings. Prince Charming and his lovely princess was the theme that my daughter and her fiance went for. They pulled it off in stunning fashion, her with long flowing veil and him with his extravagant tuxedo. It really was a beautiful wedding. A horse drawn carriage with a driver in classical attire swept the two of them away from the church after the ceremony was over.
The reception had small white lights to add with the tulle that was draped above and tall flower vases scattered all about the room. An arch with green plants and red and white roses climbing up an arch stood behind the newlyweds’ table, while the wedding guests had at their tables an exquisite bouquet of flowers with sparkles that shimmered silver. The reception tables twinkled even more with the silver tea light dove place card holders she selected. Flower and crystals adorned the small jewelry boxes that each lady at the wedding got as a gift. All the guys got a key chain with a frog wearing a crown and royal robe on them, which represented the infamous frog prince. The personalized jewelry boxes for the bridesmaids had black velvet-lined interiors and were made of wood and sliver-plated. My daughter and son in law had each of them engraved with the bride and grooms name and date of the wedding. The girls seemed to really like the thank you gift that my daughter picked out. The jewelry box she got them looked very nice, but it was in fact a wholesale jewelry box and I had one like it myself for a long time. Each of the groomsmen received a set of wine gifts and their names etched in a tiny plaque. I felt those were novel thank you gift ideas.
Her wedding cake topper was a really unique little dream castle that really showed off the lovliness of their three tiered wedding cake. My daughter picked out champagne flutes and a cake serving set to tie in with the fairytale-themed cake. I couldn’t believe all the super accessories she got and it didn’t cost her anywhere near what I thought it would cost. We offered to pay for the wedding, since we are the brides parents, but they both insisted they could do it themselves.
I felt the warm tears flow down my face as the two of them gracefully floated around the floor for their first dance. It reminded me so much of the ball the prince had in the Cinderella story. The guys got so rowdy trying to catch the garter, during the garter toss, that they had me laughing to no end. My daughter’s wedding day was as magical as she imagined it would be, and the whole thing was so special. Now they are on a honeymoon she’s always dreamed of. When they return, I want a full description of all the wonderful places they visited while sight seeing.

Best Groomsmen Gifts!

Monday, August 3rd, 2009

A friend of mine told me about a wedding website that had fantastic wedding accessories and reception supplies at a great low cost, so we checked it out. She spoke the truth, everything from wedding invitations to exquisite little thank you gifts for the guests that could save us quite a bit. Along with all the super wedding accessories they also carry groomsmen gifts and bridesmaids gifts. Needless to say, that’s where I did all my shopping for the wedding decorations and supplies.
First of all, we decided to have a winter wonderland theme wedding since we were getting married in December, and I found so much to work with. The winter wonderland wedding bulletins were perfect for our invitations. When I went searching for my flower girls basket and the ring boys pillow I found a wedding set that not only had both those things but also, a guestbook, pen set and a lovely wedding garter too. I thought it would cost a lot more than it did for the matching five piece set. I know, after reading a few wedding articles, that many churches won’t allow the tossing of petals for the bride and grooms departure and many couples have chosen bubbles to be blown as they exit the ceremony. This online shopping site I’m on has little bottled bubbles for just that purpose, with little bubble cards for hang tags, which I placed an order for.
The lovely accessories I ordered were unbelievable. We also ordered our gifts for the bridesmaids, flower girl, ring boy and the rest of the wedding party. My fiance found quite a few gift ideas for groomsman gifts.
The groomsman favors of his choosing were glass mugs that had the word groomsman printed on the mug. Since the groomsmen gift and the rest of the people in our wedding was taken care of, I could shop for favors for our friends and family. There were an awful lot of winter wonderland wedding favors to choose from for our reception. As thank you gifts, I chose glass votive candles with a frosty winter theme, for all of our guests. They each had little silver snowflakes as decoration. They each came in their own little favor box with a silver hang tag.
The little snow ball ornament place card holders I bought make great little thank you gifts too. There was so much for a beautiful winter wonderland themed wedding, like our cake server set, our champagne flutes and even our funny wedding cake topper. Since the cake topper I chose was one with the bride and groom on skis, I decided to make it look authentic by having the baker design the top layer of our cake as a mountain of snow. I had many pictures of our wedding cake taken for my winter themed wedding picture album, it was so adorable. We cut our cake and shared the first piece, then my brother in law gave a little speech as he toasted to the bride and groom, and then it was time for us to have our first dance of the evening. With all eyes on us as we danced, I felt as magical as a princess in a fairy tale.
This reception was perfect, from the beginning to the end and all of our guests truly seemed to be enjoying themselves. The men in our wedding party really liked the wedding groomsmen gifts we had for them and my bridesmaids thanked me for theirs too. We also got quite a few compliments from our wedding guests about the decorations and the lovely wedding favors they received.

Gorgeous Groom Gift!

Monday, August 3rd, 2009

You get favors and gifts at wedding showers, bachelor parties, and bachelorette parties. There are a lot of neat little gifts that you can give your bride and groom to be at these parties. My husband and I received some pretty awesome gift items. Of course plain old money works just fine, and that’s what our engagement party gifts consisted of for the most part, but there were a lot of more creative presents as well. We were given movie and dinner certificates, a bottle of champagne we could use for our wedding toast, two tickets to a Reds game, that we really enjoyed, and little things like that. A lot of our loved ones gave us presents, even though it was not required for engagement parties.
My man’s bachelor party must have been fun because he got some funny tee shirts that they made him wear with funny little phrases printed on the front. He also received as a bride and groom gift, a groom sun visor, a mug with the word groom printed on it and a wine gift set. He also got to keep the ball and chain they made him wear all night and an inflatable woman they gave him as gag gifts. He got other mock bride wedding gifts besides, that gave them all some laughs. My girls night out party was fantastic too and I got a lot of gag gifts, but also quite a few nice bride gifts too. I got a beautiful evening bag made of white satin with a white ribbon across the top and under a lovely crystal button clasp. There were some feminine items like a manicure set in the bag, along with a tee shirt and pin that were designed for the bride to wear at a bachelorette party. But I think my favorite little novelty bride gift was a throw pillow that said ‘tonight’ on one side, and ‘not tonight’ on the other. It was certainly the most unique throw pillow I’ve ever seen.
We didn’t get any joke bride and groom wedding gifts on our wedding day. We got about three toasters, four blenders and lots of waffle irons, but that is to be expected when you have so many people attending your wedding. We filled out a bridal registry and we received a food processor and china from that, along with some other things I had written down. One of the gifts my husband truly loves is his bar side set, which also included a very nice pool table from his dad and mom. The plane tickets to get to the Greek Isles for our honeymoon came from my folks. We received a lot of wonderful gifts on our wedding day from our loving families and fantastic friends.
Most of all, our friends and family being at our wedding to share that magical experience with us was the greatest gift. We were able to spend our engagement party, wedding, and reception with them, and we are so glad about that. Being surrounded with great, supportive people like them is what makes life so much more enjoyable. It’s also great to have such wild and crazy friends in the mix to throw you such fantastic girls night out parties and bachelor parties. With friends like that around, your life will be anything but boring. The magnitude of our gratefulness for having them as friends, along with the most fantastic families, just cannot be expressed in something as small as a thank you note.

Fabulous Duck Baby Shower!

Monday, August 3rd, 2009

When I picked the theme for the baby shower, I couldn’t help but think of Ernie on Sesame Street and his favorite bathtub song of ‘Rubber Duckie You’re the One.’ It seemed like such a unique idea that I wasn’t sure if there would be enough rubber duck favors around to plan a theme around, but I realized what I started looking into it that the idea was more popular than I had imagined. They are really so cute and it was a lot better than I thought it would be with all the online shopping help I got for ideas. There are a lot of adorable little duck favors and decorations to be found on the internet for baby showers and even toddler birthday parties.
The den in my basement was big enough to hold everyone, so I put tables down there with seating for four people. I put baby shower gifts in one corner, and then at the opposite end of the den was a table with appetizers, drinks, deserts, and a layered cake in the form of a rubber ducky and the words baby girl written on it. There were posters of Donald and Daisy Duck, Mickey and Minnie Mouse, and the rest of the Disney cast all over the place, and the Daisy Duck one was huge.
The place card holders I bought and put out at the shower were miniature pink picture frames that had a little ducky in each of the corners. There were duck favor candles at each table too and on the buffet table were paper plates, cups and napkins all with little baby ducks on them and even the punch bowl was unique. I set the punch bowl, which was made of glass, inside of a bathtub for a baby that was made to look like a duck; the tub was just something I picked up at a nearby store. It was really kind of cute. I also bought duck molds and filled them with yellow colored water for duck shaped ice cubes. I went all out on this duck themed shower.
Other than a few things that people at school suggested to me, I borrowed most of my ideas from things I saw online. On the Internet is where I found duck shower favors, such as the precious duck baby shower favor bookmarkers I found, and the duck candles, too. We used them as prizes for the contests we had at the baby shower, and all of the guests adored them.
I put some rubber duckies in a large, square-shaped, makeshift tub that I filled with water before anyone got to the shower yet. Underneath every rubber duck, I wrote a number, and the each guest plucked one out of the water as they arrived. Later on I drew a number out of a fish bowl and the person with that number won a prize. We had a lot of fun with the guess the baby picture game, too. I hung a baby photo of every guest who brought their baby picture along on a bulletin board. All of the people at the shower got a good look at all of the pictures on the board, and then they sat down and attempted to guess who was in what picture. The duck baby shower favor went to the one who guessed accurately on the most pictures.
The new mom had a bounty of awsome gifts for her baby, and good times were had by all. Going on the net to help me put together this shower was an outstanding decision. I pulled off one heck of a baby shower, even though it seemed pretty far-fetched at first. The duck theme really was a cute idea.

8 Hour Energy Shot or 5 Hour Shot???

Monday, August 3rd, 2009

During a time where Americans will go out of their way to save a couple cents per-gallon on gas, there’s a flourishing new type of energy drink that costs 20 times as much per ounce as Coca Cola – the energy shot.

An increasing amount of people are dropping their $3 coffee, in favor of these $3 2-ounce energy shots – and most of them taste terrible.

The demand for energy shots is expected to double this year, reaching $700 mil in sales – and it’s dominated by Living Essentials’ 5 Hour Energy shot, as they were the first on the market.

Many companies are attempting to capture the energy shot market – products like 6 Hour Power, Fuel 7 Hour Energy, and Mr. Energy 8 Hour Energy are all competing to tap into the energy shot world.

Though it sounds similar, 8 Hour Energy has raised the bar a little higher for the competition. Aside from caffeine, it includes Acai, Gogi, and Tahitian Noni – three incredibly popular berries, each known for their natural energizing and dietary benefits. Usually, these berries can only be attained by purchasing a $40 bottle of juice.

On top of everything, 8 Hour Energy is carb and calorie free – and it tastes delicious.

“I’ve seen the 5 Hour ads plastered all over the media. But if people read the labels before they buy, I think they’ll go for 8 Hour Energy. It’s just a better quality product,” says Darin Steen, one of the top ranked health and fitness instructors in the world.

In a blind test conducted at the University of Florida, 9 out of 10 students preferred the 8 Hour shot over 5 Hour Energy. Other groups were given samples of the Mr Energy 8 Hour Energy shot, and returned with overwhelmingly positive reviews.

“Wow… after taking the 8 Hour Energy, not only was I able to stay up to study for finals, I picked up a basketball game after! Without it, I probably wouldn’t have managed to do either,” said Troy Smith – a Finance major.

“The 8 Hour Energy shot is amazing. I stayed energized and focused, and totally aced my final. It’s like time in a bottle,” said Stephanie Wilcox – a student at the UF College of Dentistry.

Despite 5 Hour Energy’s fierce advertising budget, Bhelliom Enterprises, the creator of 8 Hour Energy, is confident that their product is superior. “The ingredients speak for themselves,” says CEO of Bhelliom Enterprises, Casey McCarthy.

Fabulous Silk Handkerchief!

Friday, July 31st, 2009

Being my first time being married, I wanted to plan a picture perfect wedding shower. I knew I needed help, so I asked my sister if she wanted to help me. She agreed and was excited as much as I was. I know there is a lot of work to be done when planning a shower and I was eager to get started. I have planned showers before and I knew my shower would turn out awesome. There was not a whole lot of time for me to plan my shower and I thought I better get started soon.
My sister and I searched for a hall to rent that was big enough to accommodate all of the guests. We came across one that was real close to where I live. We started looking on the web for decorations and gifts. We saw so many themed wedding shower ideas that were cute. I bought all my decorations and gifts for the shower. It was time to find the shower favors. There were so many to choose from. This took some time to figure which one I wanted because they had so many to choose from. We saw a cotton handkerchief that was so elegant, that I decided this is what I want to give my guests for a wedding favor. I thought I could purchase one for me and have it on me the day I get married. I saw a hankerchief that was awesome. I was so sure that all my guests would fall in love with the men’s handkerchiefs. I decided to go with a men’s handkerchiefs as a wedding favor for all my guests.
Everything was falling into place. The hall was reserved and we bought the decorations, gifts, and wedding favors. I now had to plan what I was going to have as food for my shower. I was going to have it catered, but it was way too expensive for my budget. I went through my recipes and found some awesome dinners and side dishes that we could make. We placed the order for the cake at a bakery near us. All the planning was finished. I picked out these gorgeous invitations and mailed them. Now it was a waiting game, waiting for the day of the shower.
The day finally arrived and we went to hall to set up the shower. It took us about an hour to decorate the hall. As soon as we finished, we were amazed how great the room looked. I even took pictures to remember how it looked. We decorated the tables with a centerpiece and put the cake on the food table. Each setting had a cotton handkerchief. If you were to walk in the room, you would think how gorgeous it looked.
My guests finally arrived and we all had such a great time. My guests enjoyed each other’s company. We ate and played games. I heard throughout the shower that my guests liked receiving the handkerchief as a gift. It was amazing to see how many gifts I did get. I did not want my shower to end, because I had so much fun and so did my guests.
When all my guests were leaving, they all thanked me for such a good time and especially the handkerchief. It made me glad that I chose a handkerchief for my wedding favor. My shower was a success and will be in my memory always. I am so glad that my sister was there to plan the shower with me. She really touched my heart during this. I picked her to be my maid of honor, because of that.

Affordable Placecard Holders

Wednesday, July 22nd, 2009

Place card holders can be a lot more in your reception décor than just seating arrangements. A lot of the beautiful table placecard holders can give you extra wedding favor gifts for your guests. You can get them in a lot of themes, from seasonal themes to fantasy, and many more. You can get a gorgeous white placecard holder that is a great décor for christmas as well as decorate your tables. Every year as they hang the ornaments, they’ll be reminded of the beautiful wedding day they shared with you. If I were to get this one, I would want a couple of them to put on my tree, each year. Your collection could start from your wedding and with each child you are blessed with, you can add another ornament. This could be an awesome Christmas tradition, with memories for years to come.
If you’re planning a summer wedding there are a lot of options for table placecard holders there too. There are adorable little flip flop shoe card holders, sea shell, sand castles and adirondack chair placecard holders that would be perfect for a spectacular beach party reception. They even have beach themed wedding cake toppers, wedding favors, and more decorations for that summer reception you are planning. They have so many kinds of wedding invitations and appreciation gifts for your guests. If you are having a traditional wedding and reception, they have so many decorations and supplies to make your wedding day a success. Traditional bridal accessories and wedding décor is still very popular with many young couples, and finding the wedding items you need is as simple as going to your computer. I’ve found so many beautiful options for traditional weddings as well as fantasy ceremonies. I think picture frames are an awesome wedding favor and great for card holders. You can choose from many styles of ceramic and pewter placecard holders that are lovely photo frames as well. They make such nice wedding keepsakes of your special day, for your friends and family.
If you want the best wedding, all you have to do is search the internet for all your accessories. No matter what you are looking for when you are planning your wedding, the internet has so much to offer. I couldn’t believe it when I saw this customized wedding cake topper that they can make to look like the bride and groom. To have this wedding cake topper customized to look like you and your finance, all you have to do is send them head shots of you both and they do the rest. How awesome would it be, getting a cake topper that has your faces on it and what a great keepsake of your special day. They even had some laughable cake toppers that would be the talk of the reception. This would be a lot of laughs for those with a sense of humor about marriage.
Sometimes you can also find some terrific deals on wedding accessories, like
wholesale placecard holders and other discounted wedding items.
They have five piece wedding accessory sets that are albums, guestbooks, ring bearer pillows and other needed items. Trust me, that can really help out a couple just starting out on a life together. They have great deals on wedding accessories that are affordable and great deals that are hard to come by and what a great opportunity this would be to have the wedding you always wanted. Today everybody can use low cost items.
Giving gifts is a way to let them know how much you care and to say thank you for being there and sharing our most important day with us.

I read through lots of Growth RX reviews…

Wednesday, July 22nd, 2009

I’m the kind of person who will train hard and use substances to give me an edge, but only if they’re made of natural ingredients, have a lot of upside for taking them, and don’t have any negative consequences. I’m ready to do whatever it takes to get physically fit, but risking my well-being isn’t something I’m prepared to do. Also, I can only keep track of so many things, so I like to find supplements that have a long list of positive benefits. My appearance, well-being, and muscle mass stay at high levels that way, and I’m saving time by not keeping track of too many things at once.
I saw some Growth RX testimonials when I was online. The testimonials for Growth RX HGH were very positive. They said emphatically that it worked extremely well, which is what initially caught my attention. I need more than just that, however. It has to work for both my looks and my actual health in order for me to use it.
Once I read the Growth RX testimonial that i found was valid and got me excited, I checked into the ingredients. It turns out there’s this new amino acid named citrulline malate that is supposed to help your body respond better to exercise. The other ingredients inside were all natural, which is something that’s an absolute must for me.
After I saw what was in it and that people were happy with it, the next thing I did was look at exactly what the product did. I wanted something that would have a variety of benefits, from boosting energy to burning off unwanted fat. For this product, that was only the beginning. After I did a hard work-out, my muscles would be able to bounce right back because it sped up recovery time, and my muscles would look more well-defined. It also claimed to help blood flow and oxygen levels, which was really a big plus in my book. Once I read all of that, I knew that I had to give it a shot.
My results were through the roof, but amazingly, it exceeded my expectations, and I didn’t even think that was possible. The muscles in my arms and legs rippled, I got thinner, and I had so much energy that I didn’t know what to do with all of it. My exercise regimen increased substantially, but I had no trouble handling it, and my mind and body felt so refreshed all the time. It was almost as if I had discovered the fountain of youth. I had to start increasing my weight-lifting amounts and frequency because my muscles were so much better able to recover after a work-out.
It was very good for my peace of mind to know that Growth Rx is not something that’s going to give me problems down the road even though it’s making me look fantastic now. I wouldn’t say that I was unfit before, but my muscles are getting so well-defined now that people notice me as I walk by. A woman at the gym I train at was so shocked at the transformation in my body that she actually came up to me and inquired as to what I was on. You could have knocked her over with a feather when I informed her that I was attaining these awesome results with the help of something with no artificial ingredients. When she wondered how she could get her hands on some, I told her that she could find a great bargain just by looking on the web. When she starts taking it, I know she’ll be thanking me over and over again.
