After it was decided that we were going to have a beach wedding, I went shopping for accessories and supplies with a beach theme in mind. First things first, I bought our beach themed wedding invitations. Since I had a couple of invitations I had to do over again, I was really glad I bought extra. After I got the invitations out of the way, my next step was finding the right dress for a beach wedding. With all the selections of beautiful beach dresses and wedding gowns, I had a difficult time deciding what I wanted to wear. The full length bridal gowns were so beautiful, but I was afraid they may be too uncomfortable for a beach wedding. I picked out a gorgeous spaghetti strapped dress made of satin and lace with beautiful little beads scattered around it, in a knee length.

Linen beach dresses with a crocheted halter covering was what I chose for my bridesmaids. All the groomsmen wore linen white shirts and sand colored pants and my husband, to be looked so handsome in his blue linen shirt and white pants. The little ring boy wore a white cotton shirt and khaki shorts, and our flower girl was so cute in a light fabric sundress. Everyone in the wedding party looked fantastic and the bouquets were absolutely the most beautiful arrangements I could have found.

I wish now,with all the photos of our wedding being taken, that I would have bought two personalized wedding albums, instead of only one. I planned to have pictures of all the fantastic decorations at our wedding and reception and photos of every guest that attended. I especially wanted photos of us taking our vows under the beautiful flowered arch and satin canopy we had put up. When the ceremony was over, my new husband and I went to our hotel room to change into some more comfortable beach outfits. In fact a few of the bridesmaids and groomsmen also left to change, while others just wore swim suits under their wedding attire. We told all of our guests to dress casually.

Everyone thought our reception tables were so beautiful with all the beach themed wedding accessories I had found for them. I bought everything for our tables at the same place I bought our lovely beach themed wedding album. My fiance and I set the date for our wedding in January, because I had my heart set on a winter wonderland ceremony and reception. The couple had purchased a nice little ranch outside of town and that’s where they decided to have their reception. It was a lovely home with a couple of acres and a barn for their horses they planned on having. I hate to admit it, but I’m a little jealous of all they have accomplished just starting out.
You could tell she put a lot of effort into planning this reception. Everything was fantastic. Each checkered tablecloth had centerpieces of wild flowers in little metal buckets. She did a fantastic job, not just with the décor, but also the themed wedding favors. White christmas lights mixed in with a few lanterns completely encircled the picnic tables. There were bales of hay stacked here and there with corn stalks on the barn doors. There were so much set up for adults and kids to enjoy. My husband and I did a little dancing while some played horse shoes or gave apple bobbing a try. It was great fun for everyone.
Their country western wedding cake topper was very comical and the cake itself was a masterpiece of confection. It was the perfect novelty topper. The western themed champagne flutes were really unique. And she made place card holders out of these little cowboy hats. I thought that was very creative.
There was plenty of delicious foods for everyone at the party. They grilled hot dogs and hamburgers, mostly for the kids, and steaks, ribs, and chicken for the adults, with choice of salads and vegetables. It was one heck of a cookout. It was a great reception, plenty to eat, great tunes to dance to and games to keep the kids happy for hours. The country western theme was a blast.
Another fun reception is a beach party reception. There is nothing more beautiful than a beach wedding ceremony. The sun setting in the water makes a very romantic scene. With the feel of warm breezes and the sounds of the water, you can feel the romance in the air. On my wedding day, I want to have a wedding ceremony just like this one.

Since they chose a ranch to buy as their first home, they thought that would be the perfect place to hold the reception. What a gorgeous place they had with a beautiful house and horse barn on two acres. I hate to admit it, but I’m a little jealous of all they have accomplished just starting out.

If I ever get married, I think this is the type of ceremony and reception I would want to have.

It was a lot easier than I thought it would be to plan my outside wedding and reception. It wasn’t as expensive as an indoor wedding would have been. Having the natural beauty of the outdoors saved us a lot of money on decorations. I checked out a lot of places to have our summer wedding and reception. In our original wedding preparations, we had a lovely canopy set up for the reception and a lovely trellis for our ceremony. The only real decorations I needed were those for my wedding table and the guests reception tables. About all I needed were a extra flowers and my table settings, thanks to the already present beauty of the park. I thought artificial flowers would be best, since we didn’t want a bee invasion ruining our ceremony. The flowers were absolutely gorgeous and didn’t look artificial at all. Planning this wedding wasn’t all that hard, but there was a little more than I expected. Even though some summer wedding themes are fantastic, the heat can totally destroy your gorgeous wedding cake.

There was a variety of accessories available for the outdoor reception. I could go ahead and order everything in a non-gender color, but I’d really prefer to have a pink décor or a blue décor, with maybe an it’s a girl or it’s a boy banner.
