A theme wedding is my favorite. They can really be a blast. I got to go to a really super wedding and reception last weekend. The ceremony and reception was done in country western.
A quaint little country church was the location of the wedding ceremony. It was really quite lovely with lots of flowers and candles around the altar, and satin bows and ribbons connected at the end of the pews. The baby blue dresses that the bridesmaids and flower girl wore were simply gorgeous, and the flowered hair pieces were a lovely added touch. The little ring boy was adorable in his little tux, and the groomsmen were very handsome in theirs, with the white boutonnieres in the lapels. But the real attraction was the beautiful bride and her elegant groom. They were such a lovely couple. A horse drawn buggy awaited to take the bride and groom to the reception.
The couple had purchased a nice little ranch outside of town and that’s where they decided to have their reception. It was a lovely home with a couple of acres and a barn for their horses they planned on having. I hate to admit it, but I’m a little jealous of all they have accomplished just starting out.
You could tell she put a lot of effort into planning this reception. Everything was fantastic. Each checkered tablecloth had centerpieces of wild flowers in little metal buckets. She did a fantastic job, not just with the décor, but also the themed wedding favors. White christmas lights mixed in with a few lanterns completely encircled the picnic tables. There were bales of hay stacked here and there with corn stalks on the barn doors. There were so much set up for adults and kids to enjoy. My husband and I did a little dancing while some played horse shoes or gave apple bobbing a try. It was great fun for everyone.
Their country western wedding cake topper was very comical and the cake itself was a masterpiece of confection. It was the perfect novelty topper. The western themed champagne flutes were really unique. And she made place card holders out of these little cowboy hats. I thought that was very creative.
There was plenty of delicious foods for everyone at the party. They grilled hot dogs and hamburgers, mostly for the kids, and steaks, ribs, and chicken for the adults, with choice of salads and vegetables. It was one heck of a cookout. It was a great reception, plenty to eat, great tunes to dance to and games to keep the kids happy for hours. The country western theme was a blast.
Another fun reception is a beach party reception. There is nothing more beautiful than a beach wedding ceremony. The sun setting in the water makes a very romantic scene. With the feel of warm breezes and the sounds of the water, you can feel the romance in the air. On my wedding day, I want to have a wedding ceremony just like this one.
It was such a relaxed ceremony, with all wedding party and beautiful summer dresses and beach wear. She made a lovely bride in her ocean blue flowing crepe dress, and he was such a handsome groom in his white linen beach outfit. The whole ceremony was absolute perfection, just like dream.
Not only was the ceremony fantastic, but the reception was exceptional too. Everything for her table décor had something to do with the oceanside. The centerpieces were little trays filled with sand and two large pillar candles with seashells, starfish and orchids all around them. She had the most adorable sea shell place card holders and beautiful beach themed champagne glasses on all her tables.
She had everything in a beautiful beach décor, from her wedding cake topper to the wonderful theme wedding cakes she had put together. This was one of the most memorable weddings I’ve ever attended.

Thursday, November 26th, 2009I love attending a theme wedding. They truly can be a lot of fun. I got to go to a really super wedding and reception last weekend. It was a country western themed ceremony.
The ceremony took place in a small country church. It was really quite lovely with lots of flowers and candles around the altar, and satin bows and ribbons connected at the end of the pews. The bridesmaids and flower girl wore gorgeous baby blue dresses with flowered hair pieces. The groomsmen and ring boy looked quite handsome in their tuxes with little white boutonnieres in their lapels. But nothing could compare to the elegance of the bride and groom. They made such a handsome couple. After the ceremony the bride and groom left the church in a horse drawn buggy.
Since they chose a ranch to buy as their first home, they thought that would be the perfect place to hold the reception. What a gorgeous place they had with a beautiful house and horse barn on two acres. I hate to admit it, but I’m a little jealous of all they have accomplished just starting out.
You could tell at one glance how hard she worked at setting this reception in motion. It was absolutely perfect. Each checkered tablecloth had centerpieces of wild flowers in little metal buckets. She did a fantastic job, not just with the décor, but also the wedding themes. There were strings of white christmas lights all around the picnic tables, with a few old fashioned lanterns here and there. The corn stalks and bales of hay really made this the perfect picture of a down home reception. There were so much set up for adults and kids to enjoy. Some of the kids were bobbing for apples while others were into a wild game of horse shoes, and still others were trying their hand at line dancing. It was great fun for everyone.
The wedding cake was spectacular and the wedding topper had us all in stitches. It was the perfect themed cake topper. I wish I knew where she got those adorable country themed champagne flutes. And on each and every table she had little cowboy hats that were used as place card holders. Everyone thought they were so cute.

You can feel the romance in the air as the sun sets on the horizon. With the feel of warm breezes and the sounds of the water, you can feel the romance in the air. If I ever get married, I think this is the type of ceremony and reception I would want to have.

Thursday, November 26th, 2009My daughter is turning sixteen and I was looking for some unique ideas for her party. I was told by my friend that a good place for accessories was online where she got the supplies for her daughters party. So I decided to give it a try. I couldn’t believe all the nice table accessories and party favors that were available. I ran across some pretty neat ideas for her birthday celebration. I found these cute little cookie cutters in the shape of the number 16 and use it to make cookies for the party.
Since it was her birthday, I let her decide what she wanted and she decided to party at the roller rink and have her friends stay overnight. I immediately got on the phone and reserved tables at the local roller rink. Then I invited all of her best girl friends. It didn’t cost as much as I thought it would. They offered pizza, hot dogs and soft drinks at a very reasonable price. I got the house prepared for the party that was to continue after skating. I decorated the house with birthday accessories,laid out snacks and put my sweet 16 cookies, I made, on the tables.
When I was searching the web for birthday ideas, I ordered a few other things besides the cookie cutters. Since I was getting by so cheap with this party, I ordered extra gifts from the selection of sweet sixteen favors for her and her friends. I ordered some adorable pink photo albums for all the girls, and disposable cameras for them to take pictures of the party. They all knew about the cameras, so they could take pictures at the roller rink, but they had no clue about the albums I bought for them. Even though they took a lot of photos at the roller rink, they all saved some picture taking for the sleepover.
I also bought each of them little cosmetic bags with their initials on the front. The cosmetic bags were just the beginning, I also bought manicure sets and purse mirrors for each of the girls. Each of the girls also received a very decorative favor box filled with candies. As soon as we got home, we celebrated with a sweet sixteen favor with cake and ice cream and she opened all of her presents. There were plenty of snacks and drinks, girlie teen movies for them to watch, so they were good to go for the evening. They turned on some of their music and danced around for a while, then they took out their manicure sets and started to work on nails, and give make overs to each other. They were having a lot of fun together.
When the noise starting dwindling down they got out the bowls of popcorn and started watching their movies. I wanted to give them as much space as I could and not intrude on their girl time, but I got an invitation to join them for a movie. That was such a nice thing to ask me to join them. They were able to watch two of the movies we rented before eyes started closing. Now it was down to just me and my daughter and she didn’t make it very long. Just before she closed her eyes, she let me know how much she appreciated her super birthday party.
When I got up in the morning the girls were already downstairs and had eaten, then straightened up everything from the party. I was very impressed with their thoughtfulness in helping me out. They hung around with my daughter for a couple of hours, then the kids started heading for home. As they were leaving, the girls thanked me for the wonderful time they had and all of the sweet sixteen ideas I bought for them. So, I guess that makes me a cool mom, hey?

Wednesday, November 25th, 2009When my best friend informed me of a online shopping store for wedding accessories and supplies that could save us a little on the wedding expenses, I thought I’d give it a try. She was right, they had everything from wedding invitations to wedding favors and none of it was really expensive. I was surprised at all the great groomsmen gifts and bridemaids gifts they carry, as well as so many styles of wedding accessories for both ceremonies and receptions. Of course, my wedding décor and the supplies I would need, I intended to buy there.
December was the month we planned on for our wedding date and I was determined to have a winter wonderland wedding, and with all the accessories they have to offer, I knew I’d have everything I needed to make it work. First I ordered winter wonderland wedding bulletins to use as our wedding invitations. I lucked out when looking for my flower basket and ring pillow because I found a five piece wedding set that had both, plus a guestbook and pen set, and a nice leg garter to go along with it. Not only did each piece match, but the price was more than reasonable. I know, after reading a few wedding articles, that many churches won’t allow the tossing of petals for the bride and grooms departure and many couples have chosen bubbles to be blown as they exit the ceremony. So I checked out this online shopping site and found bottles of bubbles with lovely little bubble cards to go with them for our ceremony.
You’d be surprised at the marvelous accessories I bought from there. I was able to find gifts for not only my bridesmaids, flower girl and ring boy, but for everyone in our wedding party. My fiance found quite a few gift ideas for cheap groomsmen gifts.
He got each of them a mug as their groomsman favors, with the word groomsman printed on it. Our wedding cake was confection perfection and I wanted as many pictures of it as I could get for our beautiful winter wedding album. Right after we took care of the cake cutting, and my brother in law toasted us, we stepped out on the dance floor for our first dance together as husband and wife. With all eyes on us as we danced, I felt as magical as a princess in a fairy tale.
The rest of the reception was just as perfect as the beginning, and everyone seemed to have a wonderful time. All of my girls in the wedding party loved their thank you gifts as did the guys and their wedding groomsmen gifts. Many of the guests at the reception commented on how lovely the winter wedding reception was and how much they appreciated the lovely wedding favors.

It’s true, reasonable prices and many accessories to choose from starting with wedding invitations right down to wedding favor gifts. Along with all the super wedding accessories they also carry groomsmen gifts and bridesmaids gifts. Of course, my wedding décor and the supplies I would need, I intended to buy there.
December was the month we planned on for our wedding date and I was determined to have a winter wonderland wedding, and with all the accessories they have to offer, I knew I’d have everything I needed to make it work. I ordered very decorative winter wedding bulletins to send out as invitations. While I was browsing through the flower basket and ring pillow selection, I discovered a great deal on a five piece set with a wedding guest book and pen, wedding garter and the flower girl basket and ring pillow. All the pieces matched and I was really surprised at the total cost of the set, it was so much lower than I would expect. I read about how now that a lot of churches don’t allow petals to be thrown at the bride and groom at the ceremony, that many couples are having the guests blow bubbles instead. I was told by my friend that a good place for accessories was online where she got the supplies for her daughters party. So, I decided to check it out. I couldn’t believe all the nice table accessories and party favors that were available. I found a lot of nice stuff I can use for her party. Before making any plans, I got her opinion on what she wanted for her party, and it was a party at the roller rink with all the girls sleeping over. So I made the arrangements, and reserved tables with the roller rink in our neighborhood. I sent all of her girl friends special party invitations. Finding the right summer weddings!
Wednesday, November 18th, 2009It was a lot easier than I thought it would be to plan my outside wedding and reception. It wasn’t as expensive as an indoor wedding would have been. Having the natural beauty of the outdoors saved us a lot of money on decorations. I checked out a lot of places to have our summer wedding and reception. I could have had our wedding ceremony on the beach, with a fun filled beach party reception, or an elegant garden party, but I chose a ceremony and reception in the park. I found there were several great locations that would work out perfectly for an outdoor wedding.
Since I never planned a wedding like this before, I needed all the help I could get. I found out you need to have a plan B, in case inclement weather unexpectly arises. A tent was suggested just in case the weather turns out badly.
In our original wedding preparations, we had a lovely canopy set up for the reception and a lovely trellis for our ceremony. The only real decorations I needed were those for my wedding table and the guests reception tables. About all I needed were a extra flowers and my table settings, thanks to the already present beauty of the park. I thought artificial flowers would be best, since we didn’t want a bee invasion ruining our ceremony. The flowers were absolutely gorgeous and didn’t look artificial at all. Planning this wedding wasn’t all that hard, but there was a little more than I expected. Even though some summer wedding themes are fantastic, the heat can totally destroy your gorgeous wedding cake.
There was a variety of accessories available for the outdoor reception. Each of our guest had a park bench place card holder and the centerpieces were flowers arranged around a glass globe with citronella votive candles inside. For each of our guests there were beautiful chrome bottle openers in lovely designed favor boxes, as a summer wedding theme. One of the most decorative things on our wedding table was our gorgeous wedding cake with the beautiful cake topper I ordered.
I found it while browsing online for my other wedding accessories, and fell in love with it. They were especially customized for the bride and groom. All I had to do was send in a head shot picture of me and my fiance and they custom made a bride and groom cake topper with our faces. How could I ask for a better wedding keepsake than that? Our friends and family were really loved the cake topper and gave us a lot of compliments on it. Everything I ordered for our ceremony and reception was the best in wedding accessories, especially our crystal champagne flutes and silver cake serving set. It was amazing all the super accessories you can buy online.
It was the perfect wedding and reception, just like I had hoped for. The weather cooperated and we never had to go to plan “B” with the tents. The DJ we hired was really exceptional and I’m sure that the music played on long after my new husband and I left for our honeymoon. There were many good comments about our beautiful wedding ceremony and fun filled reception party we had. I’m so glad I decided to go with a wedding in the park. I’d love to do this again and have a wedding renewal in the park, maybe for an anniversary, someday.

Wednesday, November 18th, 2009My mom suggested I shop online for my wedding accessories, like flower girl baskets, ring bearer pillows and reception supplies. I just placed my order and they delivered them, and it sure was better than running from store to store. She was right, I even found the perfect wedding invitations to send out, and some other accessories, all at reasonable prices. Our invitations weren’t the only thing I saved money on, I also saved on other accessories too. I saved money on all the tiaras I needed for myself, bridesmaids and my flower girl, plus a lot of other accessories, like flower girl basket, rose petals and I also found terrific ring bearer pillow wedding suggestions. I was surprised there could be so many styles and designs for wedding ring pillows.
They had all the reception supplies I could hope for. So many choices of glassware and candles to add to the elegance of each table. If you need favors for themed weddings or destination weddings, they have that too. Some for a beach wedding, winter wedding, garden wedding and more, with beautiful and decorative favor boxes to choose from too. There were great little novelty favors too, like Vegas wedding gifts for friends and family, keychains, photo frames and more with a Las Vegas theme to them.
I chose the gorgeous crystal paperweights as the thank you gifts for our friends and families. They were almost to lovely to put into their favors boxes, but the packaging only added to the tables elegant appearance. Out of everything I bought, I loved my cake topper the most. The cake topper was the most exquisite part of our wedding cake. The butterfly with the beautiful satin bow really made an exquisite wedding cake topper.
Everyone seemed impressed with the décor and their wedding favors. I got so many thank you’s from our guests for their gifts. What I really liked about this place I shopped was the fact they have more than just cake toppers and a ring pillow. They have everything you need for birthdays, showers and bachelorette parties too. Ijust found out that this is where my sister got everything she needed for my wedding shower. She said mom had told her about it too.
In about three and a half weeks I’m giving my sister a baby shower and I already know where I’m getting the decorations, favors and other party supplies from. I’m pretty sure on the items I’ve checked out so far, and plan to order them some time next week. That’s when she finds out if she is having a girl or boy. I could go ahead and order everything in a non-gender color, but I’d really prefer to have a pink décor or a blue décor, with maybe an it’s a girl or it’s a boy banner.
I should listen to my mom more often and maybe she has other ways to find bargains like these in a lot less time than I normally take. Filling out our thank you cards and working out all the reception arrangements was another thing I’m grateful for my mom doing for me. You’re really a life saver mom. I promise I’ll keep this place in mind when it’s time for our anniversary parties. I saw some pretty nice ideas for anniversary parties, from decorations to anniversary party favors. I saw a lot of lovely ideas for my mom and dad’s 30th wedding anniversary. Me and my sister should look at the possibilities together. It won’t be long before they are celebrating their anniversary, we might as well get an early start on planning.

There were some very excellent selections for mom and dad’s 30th anniversary. Me and my sister should look at the possibilities together. Their 30th isn’t that far away, no use waiting until the last minute.

As the years go by, they will think of that special day when they are hanging your little gift on the tree. If I were to get this one, I would want a couple of them to put on my tree, each year.
