After it was decided that we were going to have a beach wedding, I went shopping for accessories and supplies with a beach theme in mind. First things first, I bought our beach themed wedding invitations. Since I had a couple of invitations I had to do over again, I was really glad I bought extra. After I got the invitations out of the way, my next step was finding the right dress for a beach wedding. With all the selections of beautiful beach dresses and wedding gowns, I had a difficult time deciding what I wanted to wear. The full length bridal gowns were so beautiful, but I was afraid they may be too uncomfortable for a beach wedding. I picked out a gorgeous spaghetti strapped dress made of satin and lace with beautiful little beads scattered around it, in a knee length.
Linen beach dresses with a crocheted halter covering was what I chose for my bridesmaids. All the groomsmen wore linen white shirts and sand colored pants and my husband, to be looked so handsome in his blue linen shirt and white pants. The little ring boy wore a white cotton shirt and khaki shorts, and our flower girl was so cute in a light fabric sundress. Everyone in the wedding party looked fantastic and the bouquets were absolutely the most beautiful arrangements I could have found.
I wish now,with all the photos of our wedding being taken, that I would have bought two personalized wedding albums, instead of only one. I planned to have pictures of all the fantastic decorations at our wedding and reception and photos of every guest that attended. I especially wanted photos of us taking our vows under the beautiful flowered arch and satin canopy we had put up. When the ceremony was over, my new husband and I went to our hotel room to change into some more comfortable beach outfits. In fact a few of the bridesmaids and groomsmen also left to change, while others just wore swim suits under their wedding attire. We told all of our guests to dress casually.
Everyone thought our reception tables were so beautiful with all the beach themed wedding accessories I had found for them. I bought everything for our tables at the same place I bought our lovely beach themed wedding album. The place card holders I chose were these miniature beach chairs that can later be used as photo frames. I think our friends and family thought they were cute, I know I did. They also had beach wedding favors that I just had to have for our guests. The little tea lights I chose were in the shape of miniature sand castles and to help them keep the memory of our wonderful beach reception. I found everything we needed, as far as accessories and decorations, for our wedding table and our guests reception tables. I not only bought our beach themed wedding cake topper there, but also the cake knife server set, beautiful crystal champagne glasses and lovely wine glasses too.
Some of the guests were commenting on the gorgeous décor of our reception tables. Adding to the oceanside atmosphere were lots of gel candles I bought from them to put on our reception tables, and a few tiki torches were placed around the area. With all the accessories and supplies for the wedding and beach party reception, it made planning so much easier. The beautiful ocean whitecaps and the warm sandy beach made the perfect dream wedding and reception location.
Every once in a while I take out our beach themed wedding photo album and remember our special day.
